Daily Musings No 10 - Perspective, Sacrifice, and the Work We Avoid
Itโs not treat others the way you want to be treated. Itโs view people in the way you wish others to view you. That youโre a good person who makes mistakes.

The order in which you do things should be the order in which youโll forget.

Make the things you control hard so the things that are out of your control are easy.

Manual labor is fun when itโs for yourself and without a time restriction or quotas. But whenever I do manual labor, repetitive tasks, for someone or something else, all I think about is how miserable it would be if that was my job. My heart breaks for those people earning low wages under the constant pressure of producing more.

Every piece of equipment you buy is an expense and an ongoing expense. And it deprives you of using your body. The flip side is it saves time. But. What are you using that time for?

I think the way you should approach life is that you can do anything, but you donโt have time for everything. So you have to ask yourself and decide what you really want, what youโre willing to sacrifice for it, and whatโs not worth the sacrifice. Because everything requires some level of sacrifice.

The work we know is the work we do, while the work we donโt know is the work that we push off.
